The School

Our partner school in Mendoza is located 5 minutes away from the downtown pedestrian area, one block from the main avenue (Avenida Colón) and just 2 blocks away from Mendoza’s important monuments: Parque Cívico, City Hall and Casa de Gobierno.

The school building is composed of 6 classrooms, a teacher’s room, a kitchen (if you choose, you may also bring your own food), a meeting room that can be used during breaks and free time as a place where you can have some coffee, tea or mate (Argentina’s national drink), an audio and video room, a computer room with free internet access and a beautiful backyard with barbecue.

Accommodation

Carefully selected families, located within 10 to 25 minutes from the school, offer you single rooms with half board. Laundry service is optional. Most houses have beautiful architecture, green backyards and pools. Note that there are no meals provided on Sundays in any type of accommodation.

Activities and Excursions

Students' favorite activities are visiting the wineries in Mendoza or the Patagonia Museum and ice skating in front of the Nahuel Huapi Lake in Bariloche. For those fond of adventure, rushing rapids descending from the Andes are the perfect scenery for rafting and kayaking. Just to the northeast you will find several international ski resorts and places for other adventure sports.

Our Opinion

Mendoza is an ideal location to learn Spanish and to explore Argentina as it provides excellent opportunities for rafting, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing and most outdoor sports.
